Noah's First Christmas

Noah had a great first Christmas. He got lots of teething toys, blocks, stackable cups, balls and rattles. Noah is also 7 months old now and so physically advanced! He has been pulling himself up and crawling for about a month now. Recently he has really added the whole "speed" factor. As soon as you set him on the floor, he "hits the ground running....or crawling anyway". It is really difficult to get anything done anymore because I have to keep chasing him around. He doesn't like to be confined either and will complain (it's not really crying but he makes really annoying sounds) until you give him what he wants. He is really starting to furniture "surf" now and will let go and stand for quite a while before falling on his butt. Days of the swing and excersaucer are over. He would rather chase Isaac around and try to use him as a jungle gym. Isaac doesn't really like this and will say, "Noma (how he says Noah)LET ME GO!" I have some really fun days ahead.....I just know it!

Noah is almost 6 months old!

Time really flies! Noah is pretty much crawling now. He lunges forward and crawls backwards. He almost sits up. He will push himself up with one hand into a sitting position and look over his shoulder. He is so cute. If you put him on the floor and look away, before you look back at him, he will have managed to move 3 or 4 feet! What a strong and physically advanced little guy!

Noah's First Trip to Ashcombe Farms

Noah went with Granny, Mommy and Isaac to Ashcombe Farms for their Harvest Festival. Noah was good and didn't cry at all.(probably because he was held the whole time!) He didn't want to sit in the pumpkin patch though so we got some interesting pictures. Isaac tried to hold him, but he stayed as stiff as a board!

Am I Cute or What?

Noah is starting to scoot around and he is only 4 1/2 months old! He pushes up on his hands and knees. He actually scoots around pretty good! Here he is showing his priceless dimples.

Some Pictures

These are some pictures of Noah at about 2 months old. Noah first smiled when he was just about 2 months old. He hasn't stopped showing us those adorable dimples since then. It is amazing how quickly he is growing!

Could they be twins?

These pictures were taken when the boys were about the same age. Isaac is the one on the white background. Noah is on the blue background. They are wearing an outfit that their mom wore as a baby.

Noah is Here!

Hello everyone! Noah Russell Johnson was born on May 23rd at 8:35 AM. He was delivered by C-section and I have the staples to prove it! He is doing great. He was 6 pounds and 15 ounces. The same as his older brother Isaac. He was 21 inches long and is healthy.

The hospital performed an ABR test on Noah for his hearing instead of the standared OAE test. Isaac passed the OAE test in the hospital and he is profoundly deaf, so we wanted the hospital to be more thorough with the test for Noah. Noah passed his ABR test, so he can hear just fine.

Noah is such a good little baby. He only cries when he is hungry or wants to be held. We are so blessed. Noah is so lucky to have a big brother like Isaac. Isaac is so gentle with him and loves to pat his head and kiss him. We are a lucky family. Ian and I are blessed with two healthy and happy boys. Praise God for family!

41 Days and counting

I haven't really written much on Noah's page, so I figured I'd tell a little about the pregnancy. Overall, my pregnancy has been more difficult with Noah than it was with Isaac. I never had any morning sickness with Isaac, but with Noah, for the first 4 months I was sick a lot and was "turned off" by even the smells of some foods or the ideas of others. I also remember Isaac being a lot more active in the womb than Noah is. Noah is a pretty calm little guy I guess. I still feel him move but it is more "gentle" than Isaac's movements. Maybe I just have to wait a few more weeks for the more forceful movements.

I don't know if this means anything or not, but in both pregnancies, neither Isaac or Noah got more active when music or loud noises were present. I don't know if this means Noah will be deaf too, but we feel more prepared if he is. It would even be a blessing in a way. It would be awesome for Isaac to have someone in his family to relate to. Let's face it, who else would be better prepared to have another deaf child?

Noah's First Pics

Today Ian, Isaac, Gramps, Granny and I went to Womb with a View to determine if we were going to have a boy or a girl on May, 23 2007...The ultrasound images we received confirmed two things, we are going to have a boy and he is going to be cute. The ultrasound technician was so pleased that she could get such a clear view of his face. She even asked if she could put his pictures in their album for people to see. We even saw him smile a few times and spotted a dimple on his cheek! He is going to take after Grandpa Rick's dimples! Noah Russell Johnson will be delivered on May 23, 2007 by C-Section. This is the start of his journey.
